What is it that makes Facebook work for Inbound Marketing

I find it amazing the way facebook has the power to unite people who have never met. For example a simple search in Facebook for "Jedward" returns a fan page celebrating the fact they were kicked out of the "x-factor" has over 326,000 members.

It got me thinking about all of the ways our lives and business are being shaped and influenced by the new technologies that are available. Facebook allow complete strangers the ability to share an experience, point of view, opinion really anything. It has become a gathering place for people to meet, talk and share. In Ireland we would call it our local pub!

With the ability to tap into 32% of the world population, Facebook has been able to tap into a social behavior that people are latching onto in droves.
So what makes it work?
Pure and simple, it is the daily interactions of our lives that make facebook works. People engaging talking and sharing their lives with each other.
What sets Facebook apart from the crowd?
Its ability to gather data and feed us information directed specifically to our interests and actions. No company, other than Google, is doing as much to gather and utilize this data.

And as we contribute to the conversations and share our daily experiences, Facebook is taking note and tracking the details. Never before has a platform had access to such personal details of our lives in such a public way.
As long as Facebook continues to evolve and remain relevant, you and I will continue to make it work, or at least until something better comes along...
So what is Facebook thankful for on this thanksgiving.... You, me and everyone
