So with marketing budget decreasing companies need to get smarter about using their website as an inbound marketing machine to generate leads and find new markets.
Inbound marketing is the strategy of getting found by your target market and potential clients. So rather than you trying to find them, they simply find you instead. A recent study by Society for New Communications Research found that 78% of consumers trust each other more than they trust advertising - which is why they read blogs and go to chat rooms etc.

So how do you start, the simplest place to start is by optimizing your website for search engines and creating relevant content with blogs, webinars and podcasts. Focus on topics that will interest and engage your target market or audience.
The secret is to capitalize on people's interest and desire for more information. By speaking directly to your target market you can generate more leads that are better informed and can speed up the sales process.
So before you invest your energies and money in more outbound marketing why not start looking at the resources you already have such as your website.
