Ouzos Dalkey how not to do Social Media

Ouzos DalkeyWe have many times covered how to do engage in social media but today I saw how not to do social media but how to succeed with social media in a restaurant called Ouzos in Dalkey. Before we go there what is the difference between traditional media and social media? Try and think of traditional or regular media as a one way street where you can listen, view, watch or react to what your are watching or reading, there is very limited ability to respond back or express your views. In comparison to this Social Media should stand apart as a two way conversion with the ability to communicate in both directions. So what has this got to do with Ouzos in Dalkey?

Today at lunch I experienced how social media can succeed in Ouzos in Dalkey offline. Many people view that social media is only for online and the internet but in reality it should start offline. The example ... On Mothers' day the restaurant was extremely busy due to the special day. The tables were full and the customers were completely satisfied and happy with the food and service. This is where many restaurants may think they have made it and believe that they have found the winning solution and can now stop listening to their customers. So is this what Ouzos did?

Fortunately Ouzos decided to take a view not only to listen to the customer but to listen again on how could they improve, their service, their food and for that matter anything. They understand that by listening again and again they will always do what is right for them and their customers. As it comes down to the simple fact that an unhappy customer will tell 10 of their friends who in turn will tell their friends and so it goes on from there. So what can you learn from Ouzos in Dalkey?

What we can learn from Ouzos in Dalkey is that we should treat the internet as our restaurant and listen to what your customers are saying about us and our service. And if you have time check it out. www.ouzos.ie
