Is it only natural that fishermen turn to Inbound Marketing

At SiliconCloud we have clients from all different markets and sectors but I was taken aback to hear about fishermen turning to inbound marketing. As Ireland is an island nation you could say that fishing is in our blood along with potatoes and Guinness, maybe not in that order. So it was great interest that I read about these fishermen turning to inbound marketing to improve their business for 2010.
It may be no surprise to you that these fishermen did learn about the potential Inbound marketing from MIT in Boston, the home of HubSpot and Inbound Marketing. Following their visit to MIT these two fishermen were inspired to make the most of inbound marketing and the potential. Their goal was to make the most of their website, search engines, social media and blogs to promote and growth their business. One of the fishermen, Mr Laurenson, said that "studying these techniques has already made a big difference to how we are developing our website, so as to get a higher profile on Google, more links and more hits". So the hunter is seeing that by turning to inbound marketing you can now get found and stop hunting.
By turning to inbound marketing Mr Laurenson understands the potential and is considering moving into new products such as scallops, lobsters and langoustines. Another attendee says that they are improving their website to provide a hub hosting video, blogs and customer views to spread the message. So it really does appear that inbound marketing can help all companies regardless of size, location or sector. I really believe that the secret to inbound marketing is turning your website into a hub that can facilitate everyone.
So next time you look at your website, think about inbound marketing and see if your website is making the most from Google, social media etc. At SiliconCloud we understand that at times PPC could be the only option that is why we are running a webinar on how, why and when to use PPC for your interment marketing strategy.
