The goal of twitter was originally for communication between individuals but companies have started to tweet and participate on Twitter. Twitter is a great tool to raise brand awareness for your company and start engaging with your target audience. We have put some tips together for anyone new to Twitter or looking to improve their presence on Twitter.
Twitter Tip 1: Be yourself on Twitter and show your personality. People engage more with a personality that text.
Twitter Tip 2: Listen to what people are saying. Twitter is not only about pushing promotions out.
Twitter Tip 3: Be the first to share and re-tweet. Provided breaking news of what is going on in your industry. It provides a reason why people should follow you.
Twitter Tip 4: Do not user auto follow for the sake of spamming people, create real relationship and conversations.
Twitter Tip 5: Where possible use Twitter to grow your network on your social media networks.
Twitter Tip 6: Are your tweets showing how you could be advantageous to someone else. If not then why should they follow you.
Twitter Tip 7: We all have to learn somehow, so see what other people are doing on Twitter and look to see how are they successful.
Twitter Tip 8: With Twitter it is about quality over quantity. It is not down to the number of followers or number of tweets. One relevant follower is better than 100 non relevant followers.
Twitter Tip 9: By re-tweeting people are aware that you are still alive and also know what your interests are.
Twitter Tip 10: Twitter is only as good as the people you follow and their conversations.
And the final twitter tip: Think of the three P's when tweeting. Are your conversations providing value, are they provocative and personable? If not maybe rethink your tweet.
