If you were to take a poll you would no doubt find that people are addicted to social media. For instance, since when does Facebook appear on every web site in every country in the world, besides every household and coffee shop! It seems that this type of media is grabbing everyone’s attention by the truck load. Everyone you know is on Twitter, Facebook or some other. If for example you have a page or three on Facebook, why would you also want one on the other communication sites?
Because it is fun, and you want to get known. Maybe you want to do some virtual travelling or listen to music, talk to friends, build a web site the list goes on. Twitter AND Facebook, because you have different friends on both sites and there is always something new to see. Social media is the modern day Daily
News, Odeon Cinema, band on the bandstand on Sunday afternoon, all wrapped nice and progressively into one technological package and available to you with a click of the mouse.
Social media presents opportunities to enjoy online games with people around the other side of the world, fly simulators and join in the play of complex video games with people you will probably never meet. Social media is one of the greatest innovations of the century, the best way there is to bring people together.
The advantages of Social Media are too many to list, they far outnumber the magazine rack at the supermarket and the gossip column in the quickly fading newspaper. I guess there are still folk that enjoy the Sunday crossword, or the funnies straight from the printer. Another advantage about social media is, you don’t black newsprint in on your hands.
