Why You Need Closed Loop Marketing

Closed Loop Marketing is more than a brochure website

Why You Need Closed Loop MarketingFor many companies their website is a brochure that explains its services or a visual aid that displays its products. For most companies this website is the extent of their online presence.  But as we enter the second decade of the twenty-first century this basic level entry website is not enough. Companies need much more. They need closed loop marketing.

In the late nineties there was a rush of companies eager to be the first to create a company website. A substantial industry grew up around the expansion of the Internet and a new breed of professional was created: the web designer.  These web designers have grown from a number of other disciplines including computer programming and graphic design. Although they may be experts in their respective fields, to ensure a website generates the desired result and becomes an integral part of a product’s sales process, an additional level of expertise is required.

That expertise is closed loop marketing.

Think about your company’s website for a moment. What function does it fulfil in the sales team. Is it active? Does it generate enquiries? What are the quality of those enquiries? Could the site become a strategic sales point? Could the site be used to close sales?  Asking these types of demanding questions of a company’s website is the thinking behind closed loop marketing. The fact is today’s website are sales platforms. Used correctly they can do the work of ten people at a tenth of the cost.

Closed loop marketing is vital

This is what makes closed loop marketing so vital. Closed loop marketing allows you to track activity on the website so its performance can be measured, the campaigns which yield results can be identified and the landing page offers that are generating customers can be harnessed.
