For online get creative

The first thing that anyone who wants to write for a selection of online media must do is get creative.
Online media demand consistent attention which means writing and posting to the various platforms on a daily basis. This can seem like a daunting task and without a clear structure or objectives in place, it can be. It is best to decide from the outset what message the company wants to project, which will in turn determine the tone and language of the communications.
Adapt for online media
That said social media are an informal communications medium that have been adapted for business purposes, so the tone should reflect that informality. Also because of the need for the continuous production of copy, it keeps the process much easier if the language is relaxed, natural and uses industry jargon in a manner that everyone will understand.
The goal is to go viral and online
Remember that the whole power of online media lies in its viral nature, which means you never who might see the posts or when the customer is coming from. This means that copy must also be constantly selling the business product or service and provoking or reinforcing the reader’s interest in it. Slang, abbreviated speech and even text speech are also fine if they are applicable to the industry. In fact, many tweets on Twitter do look similar to text messages and convey a similarly friendly tone.
Find the big talker and follow them
As a starting point, go to the various social media platforms that are most popular in your industry and check out what other people are saying, what information is being discussed and who are the big ‘talkers.’ Whoever these are, they will be your competition and benchmark. Your aim will be to create a social media footprint that not only competes with theirs but also overshadows it.
