Friday is Engagement Day For Social Media

Recently the leaders of major social media platforms have been making interesting observations about their user bases. The trends are suggesting that social media use by general users is at its peak at the end of the week- Thursday and Friday. The obvious response to these statistics and asking why do people use social media more on Thursday & Friday is because it’s getting close to the weekend and they are tuning up & into what plans they might have for their free time. So how can a modern business take advantage of this?

As this is now common knowledge to most businesses they should obviously be setting their sights for this influx on a weekly basis, and planning their strategy regarding marketing around this incursion of activity to the best of their ability.

Focus Your Social Media Plansocial media marketing

Research is certainly showing a strong trend in added activity on these two days.  Owing to the fact there are so many social media outlets, in thousands of genres and interests, getting your point and product out there can be daunting. One way to consider in order to be successful in enticing those who would be interested in your product or service on those particular days of the week, is to structure your social media campaigns so that your main push happens on those days of the week.

Advertising where it matters the most is critical, and pursuing potential clients by constantly being aware of the new and continuous action on Thursdays and Fridays on all channels of social media connections, especially those within the genre of your business. It would therefore be a worthwhile experiment to focus your paid advertising around those two days of the week and look closely at your traffic.

Take Advantage of Free Resources

You should be leading the pack when it comes to rolling out your social media marketing campaigns. Though the world is increasingly social, it is also more competitive out there than ever before. Take advantage of this information when considering your promotions on platforms such as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. The great advantage of these sites is that interacting and setting up profiles is currently free. So the only resource you have to put into your social media presence are time and knowledge.

So if you want to become engaged in social media, get connected - organize your strategy and put social media to work for you. The advantages and opportunities are there, simple procedures and a great presentation will invite interest, once you have it you have to keep it, and being out there should be an ongoing objective, especially on Thursdays and Fridays.
