Based on examination of the report, most marketers are dabbling in all three areas this year. However, numbers have changed when it comes to the time and resources spent on PPC, SEO, and Social Media. 86% of marketers are still engaging with PPC, which represents a decrease on last years figures. Also dropping is SEO at 79%, though the decrease is quite small. On the rise, however is Social Media Marketing, which is up in usage by 2% to 74%.
SEO Still Top Of The Pile?
The number or companies engaging in SEO work has been decreasing in the last few years, from 91% in 2009 to 86% in 2011. What does this mean for marketing your business website.. Should you be forgetting about SEO altogether? We don’t think so. The growth in this area is 6% more marketers offering this service to a total of 77%.
