Boost Your Conversions With These Landing Page TipsWhat’s your goal? Get your visitors to click, or register, buy something, or tell a friend? Getting those leads in is the most vital element of any good inbound marketing strategy, and optimizing your landing pages is the most important part of any good campaign. If your visitors can’t see what they’re looking for, they’ll leave your site right away and they won’t ever click on one of your leading links again. So follow these great tips to create a great landing page and reel those leads in!

  1. Your headline has to match the link that got them to your landing page, and have the same message as your advert copy. There is nothing more confusing than an ad that says one thing, and a landing page that appears to offer another. You will lose your leads by not following through on your message.
  2. Deliver a clear and persuasive message; it doesn’t have to be flashy- it has to be easy to understand. Quick and simple.
  3. Be very clear in the goal of the landing page when you are designing it. Do you want the visitors to give over information? Make it clear from the start and keep it in mind when writing your wording.
  4. Your first paragraph should be short, one or two lines only. Your visitor will skim the first paragraph and then make a decision about whether to continue. Make it easy for them.
  5. Make sure your important points are at the beginning of paragraphs- people read the beginnings and ends before they read the middle.
  6. Do your research. If you have a similar competitor, examine their landing page and figure out what you can do better than them. How can you offer something more?
  7. Remove page navigation to dedicate the whole page to your cause. Drive the visitors toward the conversion and don’t let anything else distract them.
  8. Don’t be afraid to make your CTA as obvious as possible – that big red button is PERFECT for situations like these.
  9. If you are using a form, keep it as short as possible.
  10. In keeping with #9- taking action should be easy for your user. The harder it is, the more likely it is that they will drop off.

Some great LP tips here. If you need a great LP and aren't doing your research like you stated, you're just going to fail. One thing we'll do is copy the competition. If they've been using their landing page for a while, its very likely a similar LP will perform great!
