A search engine optimization project (known as SEO), involves every part of your web site, and all your pages, top to bottom. If getting a high search rank is your end goal, and those spiders have to crawl your site, then it is vital that you optimize every last detail on every last page.

One of the vital tricks here is to be sure each page is populated with your keywords, and your key phrases. Populating content with your key words and phrases, and making sure that your copy text is original (i.e. bespoke, and not plagiarized) is a key element to SEO success. By putting your keywords in other elements of your page, you can really master SEO. Ensure that you have a title tag that is optimized. It should be unique, and keyword focused, and be present on every page, not just your homepage. The title tag is one of the first elements a search engine crawler will read on your page.

The first thing most users do is put their company name in the title tag- while this is instinctive; it is not actually the best practice. It is far more beneficial to include your keywords in your title tag that are relevant to A) the crawlers, and B) the page viewers. If you must include your company title, place it at the end of the tag and put the keywords in first. The crawlers (search engine bots) will read the tags in that order, and it is far more likely that the person performing the search will use the keyword rather than your company name – unless you are a multinational corporation and a very well known brand.
Search engine optimization is key because it opens up your brand to whole new demographics that don’t already know about your company. Without SEO, only those who know your company name will be able to find you through web search. With optimal SEO, you will be found by anyone who searches for relevant keywords that you have used in your SEO implementation. And it all starts with the title tag.
