The Blue Bird Isn’t Going Anywhere: Twitter Trends To Keep Note Of

Twitter isnt going anywhereSome people wonder aloud if Twitter will stand the test of time, and if there’s any point in using it in social media marketing or developing a long term strategy for the platform. If recent survey results from lab 42 are anything to go by, Twitter is here to stay for the foreseeable future, and it’s wise to get in the game. The statistics show that the majority of twitter users are very dedicated and responsive, so it’s a great place to get some positive use of social media for your brand.

An army of dedicated social media users

The lab 42 survey found that the majority of twitter users access the site multiple times a day. In fact, 37% of twitter users log on multiple times a day with 33% logging on daily. This proves just how dedicated the majority of twitter users are. Very few twitter users log on less regularly – 19% log on a few times a week and 5% a few times per month.

Brand managers and social media managers will also appreciate that most twitter users still access the platform via the web- 64%, in fact. The web interface provides more options for marketers like promoted tweets and suggested users.

There is no kind of marketing better than word of mouth

Want to get someone talking about your brand? The majority of Twitter users tweet more than once per day (42%) and 23% post at least once per day. With so many people talking on twitter, you have the opportunity to get them talking about your brand. So make some great content, give some great advice and watch those @ replies come flooding in!

Becoming a valued member of the twitter community as a brand is important, because the survey shows that 69% of twitter users follow new accounts based on recommendations from friends. It pays to be useful on twitter, because people will recommend you to others.
