Landing Page Tips for WINNING Customers!

Landing Page Tips for Winning CustomersWe could write entire essays about the intricacies of landing page design. The placement of every word on a landing page, every picture, text box and link will contribute to a conversion. If the design isn’t right, your bounce rate will increase. You could spend days tweaking and testing out landing pages, but sometimes it just boils down so some solid methods.

Use appropriate logo, branding and design

Appearances ARE everything! People judge you by your appearance, and they will do the same for your landing page. It doesn’t have to be a work of art and you don’t have to pay a graphic designer €2000 for it, but it does have to be of a certain quality so that it doesn’t put your visitors off. Ask other colleagues about their opinions on your landing page, as design is subjective. And DON’T copy your competitors. Think outside the box.

What’s in it for the visitor?

What is your value proposition? What is in it for the customer to convert? The advertisement text should link into your value proposition, and this theme should be carried through right to the end of your landing page. Everyone wants to know what’s in it for him or her.

Use a great CTA

A website visitor makes a decision within a couple of seconds about whether to act, so you better hope they’ve seen your call to action. Make call to action buttons LARGE with lots of white space around them, and make text links bold so that they stand out from the rest of the text. Your CTA should be convincing but not require much of the user. Not more than a few lines of information anyway. Any more and visitors get lazy.
