Inbound marketing on the web is the process of creating and generating qualified leads and potential customers through means of content creation, SEO and social media. It is the complete opposite of costly outbound marketing on the web, which involves PPC (pay per click) advertising and other forms of interruptive marketing.

When you are practicing inbound marketing, you’re really only selling to people who actually have an interest in what you’ve got to offer. When paying for online advertising, you will be paying to have your message broadcast to a mass of people who will likely not be interested in your product or service. So inbound marketing makes a lot of sense in this way.
To pay to stay on top of Google’s search results, you have to have a bottomless budget and keep paying it. But when you invest money in quality content that will rank well with Google, that content stays put and your grading will stay where it is.
