Some B2b Social Media Campaigns We LoveWhen we think of successful social media campaigns, it’s always B2C companies that pop into our head. We’ve all see then really great Ben & Jerry’s tweet for fair trade campaign, and Coca-Cola’s Facebook page. They’re great, but what about B2B? B2C companies caught on early to the power of social media, but now B2B companies need to make a stand. As of yet, there are not too many well–known B2B companies conquering social media.

We have gathered some of the better-known campaigns for you to take a look at.

Cree Manufacturing

Cree Manufacturing is an LED manufacturer. They are using social media to build awareness and promote the benefits of LED technology. Rather than direct selling, they are winning potential customers over to the power of LED technology. Cree started a campaign called “LED Revolution”, which is based around an interactive social website. On the website, the visitors are asked to submit their photos of bad lighting in order to win some fancy LED recessed down lights. So think of the really bad 1980’s office lighting in fluorescent tubes, and you have an idea of what kinds of things were being submitted to the website. The site has a blog that is updated daily and uses humorous videos to bring their visitors around to using alternative lighting. Facebook and Twitter Campaigns are also leveraged to drive traffic to the campaign.

HSBC Business Network

In order to target business entrepreneurs and draw them to their brand, HSBC has created the HSBC Business Network for both its own customers but also non-customers. The idea is to generate the go-to active forum for gaining and sharing knowledge in business. The network has proved highly popular and thrived on member-contributed content. Included in the website is a network of blogs, and members are also invited to submit their own blogs. These are then perfect for sharing out on social media and driving traffic back to the website.

These are just two examples of how B2B companies are leveraging social media to improve their brand image. To learn more about using social media for B2B purposed, contact SiliconCloud today or apply for a free social media evaluation for your business.
