Some Landing Page Ideas You Haven’t Thought Of

While carrying out a digital marketing campaign for your business, you’ll notice that a well-designed landing page is critical to your success. We’ve already discussed how email-marketing campaigns especially rely on landing pages to bring those leads through the funnel. The same goes for PPC and organic search, and even social media marketing. We know that you need to spend as much time on the landing page as you do on the rest of the campaign, because the landing page will make or break you.
Here are some more of our favorite landing page strategies:
Keep it simple, stupid!
Don’t let your landing page get out of control by trying to impress the reader. This can make readers especially frustrated as they feel they’ve lost control of their own computer. Don’t put in lots of whizz kid special effects – just keep it clear what your purpose is and what you’re offering. In b2b this kind of simplicity pays off.
Keep calls to action accessible
Some readers will be ready to act on the first sentence; some will need more time to read the whole page. If you place your CTA at the top, middle and bottom, you’ll be facilitating those readers when they want to take action, and you will be rewarded for it.
In keeping with this theme, don’t confuse the issue. Use the same CTA for your landing page, because your landing page has just one purpose. Don’t lead your visitors away from the page. Remove the main menus so that they’ve only got one option.
Landing pages are stand-alone pages; they are part of the funnel. So while they should share a similar template to the rest of your website, they should not include the same menus or flashy graphics.
